Bio for Bob Puccini

Bob Puccini knows what makes restaurants successful. Having been responsible for designing and remodeling hundreds of restaurants worldwide, combined with his unsurpassed ability to survey a market, appreciate a client’s goals and translate his perceptions into a winning concept, Bob has earned a stellar reputation and many longterm clients. Before founding Puccini Group in 1996, he served as Senior VP for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants for ten years during their expansion from 4 to 35 restaurants throughout the U.S. Today, he continues the relationship as a consultant.

With over 40 years in the food and beverage and hospitality industries, Bob has worked under many titles throughout his career; beginning at the age of 16 as a Dishwasher, to restaurant General Manager, and by 30 a Vice President of a national chain of restaurants where he not only operated, but also concepted and developed restaurants. In addition, he has owned and operated restaurants in California, Oregon, and Canada. He understands the inner workings of every facet of the restaurant business and is quick to identify solutions in any underperforming hotel restaurant. Recognized as an industry expert, and establishing himself as a niche market leader for hotel F&B outlets, Bob is an internationally sought after speaker. He has spoken at various conferences such as the International Hotel Investment Forum Asia Pacific and in Berlin, the Hotel Investment Conference South Asia in Mumbai, Cityscape Beijing, and the Global Real Estate Investment in Turkey.

With current projects around the globe, from Dubai to his home city of San Francisco, Bob looks forward to international growth in the years ahead. As a globally thinking professional, Bob currently belongs to both the International Society of Hospitality Consultants and the Foodservice Consultant’s Society International. In 2002, he was named the Anti-Defamation League’s Food and Wine Industry Person of the year and won the prestigious Platinum Circle award from Hospitality Design in 2006.
