Hilton, Starwood announce 3 hotels in Philippines

Both Hilton Worldwide and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide signed agreements with Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. to open three hotels in metro Manila.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Stamford, Connecticut, announced on Wednesday that it will open the 600-room The Westin Manila Bayshore in mid-2016 as part of the Resorts World Bayshore in the Entertainment City development in Parañaque and the 350-room Sheraton Manila Hotel in the Resorts World Manila development located in Newport City, Pasay, slated to open in early 2017.

The planned development of The Westin Manila Bayshore also represents the Westin brand’s re-entry into the Filipino market. Both of the hotels are part of new mixed-use development hubs feature entertainment venues, luxury retail establishments and gaming facilities.

Hilton Worldwide announced on Wednesday that it signed a management agreement to open the 350-room Hilton Manila in Newport City in Manila. The hotel will be developed by Alliance Global Group and Genting Group, and connect to an 30,000 sq m (322,0000 sq ft) entertainment and hospitality complex.

Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. is a joint venture between Alliance Global Group and Genting Hong Kong Ltd.
