Kimpton buys Georgia hotel

Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group bought the 145-room The Mulberry Inn, located in Savannah, Georgia, on Monday.

The hotel, bought from Prince-Bush-Smith Hotels, Savannah, for an undisclosed sum, will undergo a renovation over the next eight months. During this time Prince-Bush-Smith Hotels will continue to manage the hotel.

Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, San Francisco, was the sole purchaser of the property, which it will own in full. However, Kimpton told HOTELS that it is too early to release details on the hotel’s future management or branding plans.
