JW Marriott Panama Golf & Beach Resort is now open, marking the brand’s first entry into Panama.
The 1,000-acre resort is in the Buenaventura community on the Pacific coast, about two hours from Panama City by car.
All of the 118 guestrooms have private balconies or gardens; of those 118, four are residence-style villas and an additional five are large suites.
The resort offers a fitness center; spa; kids club; beach club with infinity pool and waterfront butler service; and five restaurants, including Tamarindo, which serves local cuisine. Activities include the resort’s 18-hole Nicklaus Design golf course, surfing at Playa Rio Mar, a zip line at El Valle de Anton, and water activities at Farallon Island. JW Marriott Panama Golf & Beach Resort also has 5,565 sq ft (517 sq m) of event space.
