Hot Openings: Four Seasons branches out to Baku

Four Seasons Hotel Baku opened in Azerbaijan in September.

The hotel, which is on a promenade by the shore of the Caspian Sea, has 171 rooms and suites. The property has a Beaux Arts-style décor. Architects ReardonSmith designed the hotel; the team also included interior designer Richmond International and engineering firms Ural Engineering and MMM.

The hotel’s restaurants and bars will serve Azeri wines as well as international selections. Executive Chef Marco Bax presides over the food and beverage options, which include the top-floor Kaspia restaurant and bar, the Garabag private dining room, the Italian-themed Zafferano, Piazza lounge, Bentley’s Whiskey Bar and a pastry shop off the lobby with treats from Executive Pastry Chef Ahmed Said.

The Jaleh Spa and Pool, where Shawna Morneau serves as spa director, offers eight treatment rooms, two suites with balconies and a hammam. The indoor pool has a two-story atrium with a glass roof.

Four Seasons Hotel Baku also offers the Segah Grand Ballroom and meeting spaces.
