W Barcelona has added a new food and beverage outlet, debuting the Salt restaurant last summer.
The space, designed by the Isabel López Vilalta+Asociados studio, includes a restaurant and lounge with a terrace, a space for private events and a beach club.
The design draws inspiration from the seabed, with interpretations of fish, algae, coral and plankton factoring into the decor.
The restaurant serves California-style food inspired by the sea, including an array of gourmet burger options. Specialties include cioppino, a beet carpaccio with goat cheese and truffle oil, and a cheesecake sundae.
The beach club offers direct access to the Mediterranean.
The 1,750-sq-ft (163-sq-m) private event space has a capacity of 110 people.
