Gansevoort Las Vegas to open next year

Caesars Entertainment Corp. is collaborating with New York City-based Gansevoort Hotel Group to open Gansevoort Las Vegas on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road on the Strip at the site of Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon.

The boutique resort — the fourth property for the Gansevoort brand — will undergo a US$185 million renovation before it debuts in early 2014. It will feature 188 Parisian apartment-style guestrooms designed by Tandem Las Vegas, a redesigned lobby bar, retail outlets, a destination restaurant overlooking the Strip and a 40,000-sq-ft (sq-m) casino. It also will include the new Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub, a 65,000-sq-ft (sq-m) indoor/outdoor nightclub and rooftop pool experience by Victor Drai. After Hours by Drai will return in its same location.

“We are confident that the Gansevoort Las Vegas will be unlike anything that exists in Las Vegas today,” said Michael Achenbaum, founder and president, Gansevoort Hotel Group.
