Hot Openings: Le Méridien moves into Atlanta market

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter in February.

The property is the brand’s first in the Atlanta metropolitan area; RockBridge Partners owns the hotel, and Wischermann Partners manages it.

Fresh off a yearlong, US$20 million renovation, Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter has 275 guestrooms and suites.

The “hub,” Le Méridien’s interpretation of a lobby, includes a variety of social spaces with contemporary, curated artwork. The property’s arrival experience includes large-scale artwork; sensory cues that include a signature scent and lighting; artist-designed key cards that also offer access to affiliated cultural centers; and a 24-hour soundtrack by Le Méridien’s Cultural Curator Jérôme Sans.

The lounge, Longitude 84, serves coffee, cocktails and wine. Portico, the hotel’s restaurant, is set to open this spring.

The property also includes an outdoor pool, fitness center, club lounge, and 10,000 sq ft (930 sq m) of meeting and event space.
