What’s Hot: Grace Bay Club focuses on skewers with pop-up

Grace Bay Club in Turks & Caicos will run a beachfront pop-up through next month, serving a variety of food on sticks.

The pop-up, called Stix on Grace Bay, serves skewered foods that include lobster cocktail with citrus aïoli and chili garlic crumbs; grilled lion fish with pickled carrots and roasted coriander seeds; jerk-roasted corn in the cob with Grace Bay coconut; and spicy beef with scallions and rum-soaked pineapple. Sweets on offer include a piña colada popsicle; tropical fruit skewers with Bailey’s chocolate dip; and frozen banana rama with caramel and marshmallows.

In addition to a selection of rosé wines, Stix serves a variety of cocktails.

The food is serve at a communal table directly on the beach. A palm thatch hut houses the main bar, while orange, purple and white sofas provide comfortable seating in the lounge area.

Stix opened Dec. 20, 2012 and will close in July.
