Sun International has revealed plans to invest 3 billion rand (US$298 million) to develop a new-build casino-resort in Pretoria, South Africa.

The proposed development requires government approval of the transfer of one of the Sandton, South Africa-based Sun International’s gambling licenses. The 110-room casino-resort, to be called Time Square at Menlyn Maine, would be part of a larger 8 billion rand (US$792 million) mixed-use development called Menlyn Maine which is planned to include a new-build shopping mall, residences, office park as well as an additional hotel.
