What’s Hot: The Rittenhouse debuts new suites in Philadelphia

The Rittenhouse hotel in Philadelphia has unveiled five new Park Suites designed by Alexandra Champalimaud.

The suites are located on the hotel’s third floor and range from 450 sq ft (42 sq m) to a 1,330-sq-ft (124-sq-m) corner suite that overlooks Rittenhouse Square and can be extended into the adjoining suite. The suites have sitting rooms, dining spaces, private kitchens, and master bedrooms with burnt oak four-poster beds and an en-suite bath that offers a walk-in shower and separate silver travertine bathtub.

The décor includes oak floors, stained grey anigre millwork, wool carpets, vein-cut eramosa marble kitchens and silver travertine bathrooms. The furnishings are mostly traditional with touches of Art Deco and 20th-century influence. The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, low windowsills, silk draperies, and textured wall coverings.

The adjoining gallery entry gives Park Suites guests a private arrival experience. The space has chartreuse leather chairs, soft lighting, and curated displays of books and artwork that are relevant to Philadelphia’s history.
