Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide plans to bring its W brand into the Swiss market this December, when it opens W Verbier and The Residences at W Verbier.
The property, part of a development owned by Les Trois Rocs, will also be the brand’s first alpine and ski resort. It will sit at the base of the mountain in the Medran ski area of Verbier.
W Verbier will have 123 rooms housed in four chalets on the Place Blanche, next to the main gondola for a ski-in, ski-out experience. The hotel will include a bar, W Cafe, W Living Room, Away Spa, Sweat fitness center, and an indoor/outdoor Wet deck with pool. Chef Sergi Arola, who holds two Michelin stars, is collaborating on the restaurant.
The 15 W-branded, full-service residences are located adjacent to the hotel. Owners will have access to the hotel facilities.
