Dorchester Collection confirmed on Wednesday that it acquired the 121-room Hotel Eden from Starman U.K. Services Co.

Dorchester Collection, London, will take over management of the 121-room hotel from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Stamford, Connecticut. Dorchester did not disclose the purchase price, but sources confirmed to HOTELS earlier this month that it was €105 million (US$138.6 million).

“Hotel Eden is an exciting addition to our portfolio as it is one of the world’s most majestic and iconic hotels in a truly superb setting. Its landmark status, heritage and individuality complement the style and locations of our other nine hotels in the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy and the U.S. A presence in Rome, one of the epicentres of classicism, additionally creates synergies with our hotel in Milan, Hotel Principe di Savoia. We are delighted to welcome Hotel Eden’s employees into the Dorchester Collection family,” said Christopher Cowdray, Dorchester Collection CEO.
