What’s Hot: Anantara Vacation Club’s Thai resort

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas opened Anantara Vacation Club in Phuket, Thailand, in June.

The shared-ownership resort comprises 70 apartment suites and 30 pool villas. Each villa and apartment suite has a kitchen and separate living and dining areas. Thirty one- and two-bedroom pool villas range offer direct access to a private pool via sliding doors from the bedroom; outdoor amenities also include a garden rain shower, daybeds, and dining furniture. Two-bedroom villas also feature a children’s wading section at one end of the pool.

Sixty one- and two-bedroom apartment suites range from 1,011 to 1,377 sq ft (94 to 128 sq m) and include private balconies and pool views. The property’s eight two-bedroom apartment suites offer 2,249 sq ft (209 sq m) of living space and feature private plunge pools, sun decks, loungers, umbrellas, and outdoor dining furniture. Two 3,724-sq-ft (346-sq-m) royal suites include a private swimming pool and three bedrooms. 

The resort offers a freeform lagoon pool, kids club with a pool and a playground, fitness center, Anantara Spa, and access to a nearby Mai Khao beach club. The resort also offers three restaurants and bars with local and international fare: Chaam, an all-day dining restaurant; Crust, a wood-fired pizzeria; and Ripples, a swim-up pool bar. Club owners can also pick up packaged food parcels and wine to prepare in the kitchens in their suites and villas.
