Auberge, AJ Capital buy Calistoga Ranch

Auberge Resorts and AJ Capital Partners have acquired Calistoga Ranch in Mill Valley, California, from Olympus Real Estate. The purchase price was reported to be in excess of US$1 million per room.

Auberge helped develop Calistoga Ranch and has operated the resort since it opened in 2004.

William Foley II, founder of Foley Family Wines, and Michael Uytengsu, a founding partner of Tusk Estates, are also partners in the venture.

Set in a 157-acre (63.5-hectare) canyon in the upper Napa Valley, Calistoga Ranch comprises 50 guest lodges and 25 member lodges that promise forest views, outdoor living rooms and private outdoor shower gardens. Other amenities include the Bathhouse spa, the private Lakehouse Restaurant, a Cabernet vineyard, a wine cave for private events, a fitness center and swimming pool.
