Hot Openings: Santorini cave hotel preps for an April debut

By Dani Friedland on 2/27/2014

Iconic Santorini is preparing to open in April of this year.

The 22-key cave hotel is located on the rim of a volcanic caldera, occupying former homes and shops in the whitewashed village of Imervogli.

All of the guestrooms and suites have veranda seating overlooking the Aegean Sea. The relaxed décor mimics the style of traditional homes; some suites feature private grotto pools.

The Pergola Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; guests are welcome to drop by the kitchen as the chef prepares for service. Room service and private dining are also available.

The property will also offer a clifftop infinity pool and taverna, a gym and a spa with an indoor grotto pool and a private room for massages.

Iconic Santorini, a member of the Mantis Collection, is managed by Hospitality America.
