Radisson Blu expands in India:  Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has partnered with Rockwood Hotels & Resorts to open the 240-room Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, formerly known as the Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, in May 2014.

Fibra Inn to expand in Mexico:  Fibra Inn will use the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott brand for a 180-room hotel that is in under development at Coatzacoalcos. Meanwhile FibraHotel bought the 123-room Fiesta Inn Ciudad Obregón and plans to add 18 guestrooms to the property.

 


Aimbridge expands in Minnesota:  Aimbridge Hospitality has partnered with Chelsea Hospitality to manage the 218-room Embassy Suites Bloomington.

 


Starwood announces shark fin ban:  Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will no longer procure shark fin at any of its hotels beginning July 2014.

 


Xanterra to manage Glacier National Park lodging:  Xanterra Parks and Resorts was awarded a 16-year management contract for the lodging properties located in Glacier National Park.
