Crowne Plaza to expand in New York City:  Raber Enterprises has filed permits to develop the 250-room Crowne Plaza Times Square South, to be located at 320 West 36th Street. The hotel is set to open in 2015.

McKibbon adds 5 US hotels:  McKibbon Hotel Management has taken over management of the Marriott Courtyard Philadelphia Montgomeryville and the  Residence Inn Philadelphia Montgomeryville, both located in in North Wales, Pennsylvania, the TownePlace Suites Albany University Area and Fairfield Inn Albany University Area, both located in Albany, New York and the TownePlace Suites Springfield, located in Springfield, Virginia.

 


Lightstone buys Arizona hotel:  Lightstone Value Plus Real Estate Investment Trust II bought the 150-room Aloft Tucson University for US$19 million from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. As part of the agreement, the hotel will be managed under a long-term license agreement by Island Hospitality Management and continue to fly the Aloft brand flag.

Sheraton to expand in Texas:  Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide signed an agreement with Hines and The Novak Brothers to open the 224-room Sheraton Georgetown, Texas in 2016.
