What’s Hot: DoubleTree by Hilton renovates in Boston

The DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Downtown and hotel owner Corcoran Jennison Hospitality LLC have completed a US$8.6-million renovation of public areas and guest accommodations.

The new design includes subtle references to the city’s Chinatown neighborhood.

The first phase transformed the upper and lower lobbies as well as the main restaurant and bar. Lobby furniture has been strategically placed to promote the lobby as more of a multi-functional space.

The second phase redesigned the 267 guestrooms and suites with a new focus on simplicity, balance and connectivity. In each room, a black-and-white media wall includes a HDTV, desk area with easy access to power, dresser drawers and an illuminated abstract depiction of the neighborhood’s history. Guestrooms also offer free-standing tables and oversized seating.
