Hot Openings: Third Anantara resort debuts in China

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has opened Anantara Emei Resort & Spa, its third resort in China.

The 150-key resort is at the foot of Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the highest of China’s Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains.

Guest accommodations include 40 pavilions and 20 villas. All guestrooms have an Asian-inspired design; windows overlook gardens or the lake, and some villas offer swimming pools.

Food and beverage options include Jinyi, which serves fare from Sichuan and Guangdong; Cultivar, an all-day restaurant with Chinese and European cuisine; the Xueji lobby lounge, which opens onto a terrace; and Yunshang Wine Cellar, which also offers snacks, spirits and cigars. The pool has a swim-up bar. Anantara Emei also offers cooking classes. 

Pu-erh tea body scrubs and wraps are among the signature treatments offered at the spa.

Additional amenities include a whirlpool, a fitness center, table tennis and tennis courts, yoga, Tai Chi classes, a children’s pool, a children’s club and a games room. Anantara Emei also has 10 meeting and event rooms, including a ballroom and four mah-jongg rooms.
