What’s Hot: InterContinental Mark Hopkins restaurant, lounge

The InterContinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco’s Nob Hill neighborhood has opened a new multi-use food and beverage outlet called the Nob Hill Club.

The space serves as restaurant, bar, grab-and-go, and club lounge. The menu has a local focus with details about local purveyors and a California-centric wine list.

The Nob Hill Club’s décor blends the hotel’s Spanish renaissance and French château-inspired design with more cosmopolitan touches. The floors are finished in warm walnut, with walls painted the color of Pinot Noir. Italian chandeliers, modern artwork, mirrors, and chairs of white oak, rosewood and mahogany decorate the space, along with couches in shades of black, caramel, plum and bronze. Table settings contrast classic white linens with plates inspired by stone and earth. Many of the tables and banquettes are near power outlets. Semi-private dining is available by appointment for up to 14 guests.

Chef Nenad Stefanovic serves a breakfast buffet and an à la carte menu available all day. All-day dining options include a celery root potage with leek, pancetta and Parmesan cheese; organic pork belly on a ciabatta bun with fennel slaw, pickles, dijonnaise and garlic pommes frîtes; and a wagyu hanger steak with Rancho Gordo beans, spinach and chimichurri.

Guests in a hurry can grab homemade potato chips, yogurt and granola parfaits, and a variety of beverages, including the brand’s signature coffee program.

InterContinental Mark Hopkins continues to offer Sunday brunch, cocktails, and light dining at the Top of the Mark.
