New poolside menus reflect local flavor

Offering flavors and dishes that represent each hotel’s specific style and destination is the primary goal of the new Art of Water poolside menus available this summer at various Omni Hotels & Resorts properties.

Each Art of Water menu is custom-curated by the culinary teams at participating Omni Properties. Specific dishes include a smoked brisket sandwich with house-made pickles at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas; a shrimp roll with dill-lemon mayo at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort in South Carolina; and Caribbean rum balls at Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Menu prices range from US$9 to US$15.

Drinks are part of the poolside dining experience as well. The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, for example, is serving jalapeño-watermelon margaritas and dandelion lemonade. Cocktails are priced between US$6 and US$14.

“There’s something quintessentially American about dining by the pool during summertime,” said David Morgan, vice president of food and beverage at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “These Art of Water menus are designed to enhance that pastime, as part of our continued commitment to offering guests a customized dining experience that reflects not just the location, but the season.”
