Hot Openings: Resort pairs Florida glamour, laid-back feel

The former Boca Bridge Hotel has undergone a US$10 million renovation.

Reopened as the Waterstone Resort & Marina — A DoubleTree by Hilton, the 139-key property boasts a redesign that marries the drama and flair of Florida glamour with the laid-back, beachy resort look. A high-impact palette of golds and reds dominates the public spaces, with ruby-hued artwork coordinating with red upholstery over the bar booths. Metallic gold designs dress up the front desk.

Interior designer Gensler wanted a more serene vibe for the guestrooms. Blue tones replace the vivid hues of the public spaces, as seen in pillows and accent bedding. The same golden shapes that adorn the front of the reception tie it all together. The outdoor dining also reflects the colors of the rooms.

Deep reds give the Boca Landing Bar a dramatic look.

“With the first of its kind dock-to-dine waterfront dining service for boaters in Boca Raton, Waterstone offers two outstanding waterfront restaurants, Boca Landing and Waterstone Bar & Grill, both located on the resort’s waterfront promenade overlooking Lake Boca and the entry to the Atlantic Ocean,” said Jonathon Rosenfeld, principal of investment, development and management firm AWH Partners.
