Kimpton promoting new loyalty program with satyr

San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants released this week an online video campaign to promote its recently launched loyalty program Kimpton Karma Rewards.

The campaign features a satyr and showcases, in a tounge-in-cheek manner, the behind-the-scenes work done to give guests personalized offerings while staying at a Kimpton hotel. The videos are being distributed via YouTube and were produced by Portal A.

“Our creative brainstorm started with the moment of delight when someone experiences Kimpton Karma for the first time and says, ‘Who does that?’ We played around with that question. Karma feels like magic, so what if something magical was behind it? That’s what led us to the idea of going behind-the-scenes with a mythical satyr character,” said Kai Hasson, Portal A partner and creative director.
