What’s Hot: Bali boutique opens new villas

The 20-key Chedi Club Tanah Gajah Ubud has debuted three new villas, each with its own private pool.

The design of the villas focuses on creating a relaxing ambience. A neutral palette gives the design team more room to play with texture. Ironwood floors in the spa treatment rooms that’s wedged between the bedroom and the living space give the rooms a rich look. Tiled walls give the space detail. Outside in the private courtyard around each spa’s pool, stone dominates the material palette. The few accent pieces make a bold statement, like the sculptural wall art in the spa rooms.

“People who come to Ubud crave the opportunity to make the most of as much quiet, contemplative time as they can,” said Simon Spiller, the hotel’s general manager. “With pools in their courtyards and treatment facilities nestled between their indoor living space and outdoor bathing area, we’re cultivating even more exquisite levels of privacy.”
