Swire takes part in Elephant Parade

Swire Hotels is participating in the Elephant Parade, which features more than 100 elephant displays in an effort to raise awareness of the endangered Asian elephant and raise funds for conservation programs.

Until September 9, both The Upper House in Hong Kong and East, Hong Kong are displaying 5-foot (1.5-meter)-tall baby elephant statues.

Transitions, created by Hong Kong architect Andre Fu, is on display at The Upper House. It uses a palette of deep violet and gold in a series of brushed strokes to evoke a sense of depth in the texture, resulting in a layered effect.

Lath, on display at East, Hong Kong, was created by artists James Woodward and Rocky Yip of Entendre Studios. It uses printed images of different parts of the hotel combined with a mix of acrylic paint colors.
