Thompson to expand in Tennessee:  Commune Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement with MarketStreet Enterprises, AJ Capital Partners and The Berger Co. to open the 224-room Thompson Nashville in summer 2016.

Kimpton to expand in Tennessee:  Kimpton Hotels & Resorts signed a deal with Buckingham Cos. to manage a 180-room hotel under development near the Vanderbilt University campus in the Midtown neighborhood and set to open in late 2016.

 


Fairmont to expand in China:  FRHI Hotels & Resorts signed a deal with Golden Land Real Estate to open the 390-room Fairmont Suzhou in 2018.

 


Kempinski exiting London hotel:  Kempinski Hotels and The Stafford Hotel announce today that they have mutually and amicably agreed to end the management agreement for the 105-room The Stafford London by Kempinski.

Choice CEO sells stock:  Stephen Joyce, president and CEO of Choice Hotels International, sold 11,659 shares of the company’s stock in a transaction that occurred on Monday, August 18. The stock was sold at an average price of US$50.69, for a total value of US$590,994.71.
