What’s Hot: Bangkok hotel debuts new lounge

The lounge has become one of the most important pieces of any hotel’s design. Melding the social interaction of a lobby space with food and beverage offerings makes it an unparalleled chance to show off design with a real “wow” factor.

For the new lounge at St. Regis Bangkok, the design team knew finding that visual punch was going to take more than just a few standout pieces or a great palette. They wanted to focus on creating a seamless experience where anywhere a guest looked would provide an inspiring viewpoint. They started by focusing on the interplay of textures in the space. Metal wall accents in golden tones contrast with the delicacy of layered lighting choices.

The lounge will offically open in October. It is part of a larger refurbishment project in the public areas of the 46-story hotel.
