What’s Hot: Sky-high stay debuts in Colorado Springs

The Broadmoor’s Cloud Camp takes design to new heights — literally. Located on the site of the original 1924 lodge high above The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, the 56 guestrooms, designed by Johnson David Interiors, in this part of the property meld the rustic-lodge look with a more luxurious vibe.

Cloud Camp’s main lodge was designed to evoke the atmosphere of the lodges that grace U.S. national parks. Hand-hewn beams and stone fireplaces create a perfect shell for art that showcases the American West. In the lounge area, Adirondack rockers maintain the relaxed feel, while a 28-seat communal table encourages guests to mingle. The guestrooms have a hickory wood shell for an upscale take on the same aesthetic. Leather furniture rounds out the look.

“From its spectacular locale atop Cheyenne Mountain to its inspiring culinary program, Cloud Camp is a truly unique experience for our guests,” said Tina Harlow, Cloud Camp’s general manager. “Introducing the property to our growing Wilderness Experience portfolio, which also includes The Ranch at Emerald Valley, The Broadmoor’s Fishing School and The Broadmoor’s Fishing Camp, continues to define our commitment to offering exceptional and varied guest experiences.”
