For the new Lux* Belle Mare in Mauritius, designer Kelly Hoppen wanted to find a way to reinvent resort cool. She knew she wanted to make a more vivid statement than the usual Zen take on island-getaway style. Instead, she sought something that felt like being immersed in a fairy tale.
The design is based around imaginative, vivid detailing that catches guests’ attention. Orange or green accents give the guestrooms a pop of color. Delicate sets of pendant lights create a certain magic in the atmosphere.
“I have personally opened and reopened several luxury hotels in Mauritius and world-renowned resorts further afield. Nothing has excited me more than the creativity and passion with which we have prepared and finished Lux* Belle Mare,” said Paul Jones, CEO, Lux Resorts and Hotels.
