Hot Openings: NH Collection debuts Madrid flagship

There’s no question that technology in all its forms has become a primary focus for hospitality design and the guest experience. The team behind the new NH Eurobuilding, the 431-key Madrid flagship of NH Hotel Group’s NH Collection brand, wanted to create a space that not only caught the eye but provided a “Living Lab” for the latest in technology in a real-world environment.

The aesthetic that backs that up is, as one might expect, more futuristic than traditional. Pierced metal provides a recurring motif from the walls in the entryway to the bathrooms. Glass, steel and stone textures dominate in geometric forms.

The hotel is also home to a fitness area, spa and several dining venues, including Diverxo and the 99 Sushi Bar, as well as Domo.  And, no, the food isn’t wired, although the sleek look of the rest of the hotel continues into the restaurants.
