Hard Rock announces Texas hotel: Hard Rock International announced plans for Hard Rock Hotel Dallas-Fort Worth in The Grand Alps Village development in Grand Prairie, Texas. The US$400 million, 300-room, Hard Rock-managed hotel is expected to open in January 2018.

Radisson Red to debut in China: Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced the signing of the 300-key Radisson Red Shenyang Hunnan in Northeast China, which is expected to open in 2016.

Dalata to buy two hotels in Ireland: Dalata Hotel Group has agreed to buy two more hotels — the Clayton Hotel in Galway and Whites Hotel in Wexford — for a total of €31.7 million (US$40.5 million).

Aqua Sol in receivership: Hotel management company Aqua Sol, owner and administrator of 15 hotels in Cyprus, Rhodes and Crete, along with its nine subsidiaries has been placed under receivership for failure to comply with its contractual obligations with the Bank of Cyprus.

Holiday Inn SoHo to become boutique hotel: The Holiday Inn SoHo on Lafayette Street in New York City will close in January for a yearlong renovation and reemerge as a boutique hotel similar to others owned by owner RFR Holding, including Gramercy Park Hotel, the Paramount Hotel and the W South Beach.

Louvre partners with BHMAsia: Bespoke Hospitality Management Asia (BHMAsia) announced it has signed an agreement with Louvre Hotels Group to represent and expand the business of the Golden Tulip brand in Thailand.

 


Kahala sale closes: The previously announced sale of The Kahala Hotel & Resort in East Oahu, Hawaii, has closed. The hotel was sold to Japan-based Resorttrust Inc. in a leasehold sale for US$282.5 million.
