What’s Hot: Vail condo-hotel debuts renovated suites

For the Antlers at Vail Hotel’s revamp, the key mandate was keeping the look welcoming and homey — and not stepping on owners’ toes when it came to the styling.  The upgrades to the Vail, Colorado condominium-hotel’s suites (more than half of the 88 units have been renovated) focus on bringing in not only amenities like stainless steel appliances but also fresh furnishings, flooring and more.

Trying to do that within the context of the owners proved trickier than it might appear. Antlers’ team found themselves playing the role of contractor and facilitator as well as design superintendent. The look of the revamped units stays within the luxe Western style, but with a more sophisticated flair. Subtle touches like antler-shaped lighting provide an understated thematic element and a clever play on the property’s name.

Warm tones create an inviting ambience.

“We’re getting great feedback from our loyal guests who have been coming here for years about the changes both here at the Antlers and on our website,” said General Manager Rob LeVine.
