Host reports 3Q earnings: Host Hotels & Resorts said net income improved US$127 million to US$145 million for the third quarter 2014. Revenue for the quarter was reported at $1.29 billion.

Omni and Dallas Cowboys to open hotel: Omni Hotels & Resorts and the Dallas Cowboys will partner to open a full-service luxury hotel near the football team’s future headquarters in Frisco, Texas. The 300-room hotel will open in 2017 and will include a meeting space, ballroom and rooftop pool.

Rotana expands to Saudi Arabia: Rotana Hotel Management will expand its economy hotel portfolio in Saudi Arabia. Four Centro Hotels by Rotana will be developed in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar and Dammam.

 


Chelsea Hotels sells two buildings to New York University: Chelsea Hotel owner Ed Scheetz sold two buildings to New York University for US$157 million. Scheetz initially planned to convert the buildings into a luxury hotel.
