Hot Openings: JW Marriott reveals first Indian hotel

For the design of the 115-room JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains, the team wanted to create a locally inspired look that offered a calm ambience. Neutral tones set the stage. Delicate lines to the furniture accent the spaces without creating visual clutter. In the guestrooms, light wood tones and white upholstery give off a clean, airy look.

The hotel features five dining venues: JW Café, Teppan, Wisteria Deck, Perch and Trout House Grill & Bar. It is also home to the Cedar Spa by L’Occitane and the Salon by Warren Tricomi fitness facility. The family entertainment and kids’ zone space The Den and extensive meeting areas round out the hotel’s offerings.

“The opening of the first JW Marriott resort in India is undoubtedly a milestone for the JW Marriott brand and Marriott International at large,” said Rajeev Menon, area vice president of South Asia for Marriott International. “JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa reflects the sophistication, style and exceptional service attributes that have grown synonymous with the JW Marriott brand worldwide.”
