Omni adds New Orleans hotel: Riverfront Lodging contracted with Omni Hotels & Resorts to manage the former Wyndham Riverfront New Orleans as the Omni Riverfront Hotel. The 202-room Omni Riverfront Hotel is the brand’s third property in New Orleans joining the Omni Royal Crescent Hotel and the Omni Royal Orleans.

 


Fibra continues to expand: Mexican REIT Fibra Inn announced it signed a letter of intent with Operadora de Hoteles City Express to develop 10 hotels in various locations throughout Mexico during the next two years under the City Express, City Express Plus, City Express Junior or City Express Suites brands.

 


Hilton to manage Brussels hotel: Hilton Worldwide signed an agreement to convert a 224-room hotel in Brussels’ city center to the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. Hilton will manage the hotel on behalf of owners HDI Brussels Management, a fully owned subsidiary of HDI Zurich Property. Hilton Brussels Grand Place is expected to open in 2016.

 


Dream South Beach sold: The 108-room Dream South Beach hotel was purchased by SB Hospitality from TBS Realty for US$70 million, a 226% premium over its last trade.

Melbourne Hilton to fly Pullman flag: The 419-room Hilton on The Park Melbourne will become Pullman Melbourne on the Park starting January 1.
