Hampton to add new lobby F&B concept

Hilton Worldwide brand Hampton Hotels announced a new F&B concept, Treats, which will encompass a walk-up or walk-in shop offering snacks, toiletries, local merchandise and drinks including water, soda, single-serve beer and wine for purchase.

The concept includes two separate designs — a walk-in option for hotels with an existing Suite Shop space and a walk-up solution for hotels without an existing food and beverage retail offering. Both options will be located within the hotel lobby.

The walk-in Treats shop will be reconfigured from current shop space near the front desk.  A graphic mural will be the focal point of the shop, and wood-toned shelves filled with sundries and local merchandise will line the walls from floor to ceiling.

For properties without an existing F&B offering, a walk-up Treats concept will include one or two shelves of items lining walls within the lobby.

The Treats concept has been tested for a year, and local single-serve beer has been the top seller.

Beginning in 2015, all new hotels will offer Treats. Existing Hampton properties in North America will implement the new offerings on a rolling basis.

“The variety of F&B options and inclusion of unique local merchandise will bring Hampton Hotels to the next level in terms of what we offer for our guests and will provide our owners another strategic profit center at each hotel,” said Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide.
