The Gansevoort Playa Imbert will open on the Dominican Republic’s north coast December 15. The 48-key property offers one- and two-bedroom lofts, three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom penthouses.
For the design, clean and modern is the order of the day. The mostly white rooms’ kitchen and living areas are grounded by pale neutral finishes on tables and the kitchen cabinets. Floor-to-ceiling windows create a natural focal point. Warmer wood tones in the bedrooms balance the coolness of the living areas.
The hotel will also feature a triple-tiered cascading infinity pool, a fitness center and a day spa. Dining venues will include Baia Lounge, which is already open, and La Cantina Wine + Cigar Cellar. An adults-only pool is due to open in 2015.
