Copenhagen Marriott Hotel sold: Solstra has acquired the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel for a price estimated by industry insiders to be around 700 million kroner (US$104 million). Solstra will change its name to BC Hospitality Group, and the hotel will be rebranded as AC Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen, becoming the first Danish hotel to be part of the AC Hotels by Marriott collection.

Chatham acquires four hotels: Chatham Lodging Trust acquired four hotels — Hilton Garden Inn in Burlington, Massachusetts; Courtyard by Marriott in Dallas (Addison, Texas); Residence Inn by Marriott West University in Houston; and Courtyard by Marriott West University in Houston. Chatham acquired the hotels for a purchase price of US$106.7 million as part of the previously announced sale of a 52-hotel portfolio from Inland American.

New Queenstown Hilton owner: Jiang Zhaobai of the Shanghai Pengxin Group purchased the Hilton Queenstown. The hotel ownership changed hands on May 1.

Wyndham partners with Polaris: Wyndham Hotel Group has partnered with Polaris to help prevent human trafficking. Together, Wyndham and Polaris are developing training and educational tools for hotels owners, franchisees, staff and employees. Wyndham also donated US$150,000 and one million Wyndham Rewards points to Polaris for survivors of human trafficking.
