Loews to expand social media reservations

Loews Hotels & Resorts, New York City, will launch Social Reservations 2.0 December 1 to create a direct chat function for booking hotel stays through Facebook.? 

The new booking tool is the evolution of Social Reservations, introduced by Loews last November, which made it possible to book hotel reservations via a direct chat initiated on Twitter by a Loews Travel Planner after guests tweeted using the hashtag #BookLoews.

Social Reservations 2.0 allows consumers to visit any Loews Facebook page where they will find a booking tab. Beginning December 1, the top portion of the tab will provide direct chat access to Loews Travel Planners Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. Eastern Time and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Guests who prefer to book without chatting can enter travel information at the bottom of the page. Both methods are secure, Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant methods to book reservations online.
