Marriot expands in El Salvador: Marriott International will open a Fairfield Inn & Suites in San Salvador, El Salvador. The 130-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2016.

Pebblebrook purchases Los Angeles hotel: Pebblebrook Hotel Trust acquired the Hotel Palomar Los Angeles – Westwood for US$78.7 million. The 264-room hotel will still be managed by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
American Hotel Income Properties announces acquisition: American Hotel Income Properties has acquired a US$41 million portfolio of four branded hotels in North Carolina and Florida. The hotels include three Marriott properties and one Hilton property.
