New InterContinental kids menu promotes ‘food exploration’

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts properties in North and South America have debuted a new InterContinental Planet Trekkers Menu for kids designed around the themes of nutrition and food exploration.

Developed by chef Theo Randall and child-food expert and author Annabel Karmel, the menu includes offerings such as crispy veggies and hummus, spaghetti Bolognese with hide-and-seek veggies and a watermelon popsicle.

The menu is currently available at more than 25 InterContinental properties across the Americas, and by the first quarter of next year, most InterContinental hotels in North America and South America will have the menu.

“For this menu, we’ve experimented with a variety of flavors, ingredients and combinations to develop a range of dishes that would be familiar to a child’s palate yet create excitement around their dining experience,” said Jean-Pierre Etcheberrigaray, vice president of F&B, IHG Americas.
