Kempinski hotel touts numbers behind APEC meeting

When the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) held the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) earlier this month at the new Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, Beijing & Yanqi Island, there were a lot of impressive numbers behind the event. Here is a sampling, according to the hotel:

  • 21 Kempinski and Nuo hotels from the China region deployed a total of 395 service staff as task force to support the AELM.
  • 790 Kempinski and Nuo employees from across 25 provinces served at the AELM.
  • A total of 95 Kempinski room attendants, public area attendants and supervisors were involved.
  • More than 500 Kempinski security personnel were mobilized.
  • 223 Kempinski chefs served at the AELM.
