Hot Openings: Four Seasons’ locally-accented Dubai resort

Locally-inspired design is one of mainstays of the modern hospitality perspective, so it’s no surprise that was part of the mandate for the 237-key Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach’s design team ofarchitects WATG and interior designers BAMO and Tihany Design (who worked on several of the hotel’s restaurants).

Bringing a fresh spin on that concept started with a palette of soft neutrals that serves as a backdrop for the sinuous shapes that define the Arabic style. Twisting patterns accent guest room walls. Moorish arches give a corridor an exotic vibe. Delicate wallpaper designs evoke arabesques.

A light palette and delicate patterns keep the vibe airy.

The hotel also features several dining venues (with more to open, bringing the total to 10) and The Pearl Spa, as well as a gold leaf-adorn pool and fitness center. “For those already familiar with Dubai’s sky-piercing architecture and over-the-top opulence, prepare to be surprised, said Simon Casson, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Dubai.  “Our resort is an intimately scaled, luxurious enclave of comfort and style, in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic cities.”
