Mercure to kick off The Six Friends Theory

Aiming to highlight the local features near its more than 700 hotels, Accor’s Mercure will launch The Six Friends Theory in 2015. The program will select one winner to win a trip to meet an Aboriginal from the Bundjalung tribe in Australia and prove that there are only six degrees of separation between them.

Mercure will accept applications via Facebook starting in January. Eligible applicants will be required to post a video to Mercure’s Facebook page describing their daring travel ideas and personalities in order to distinguish themselves from others. The 50 candidates with the most likes will be pre-selected for the final recruitment interview with a six-person jury. The winner will travel in March.
