HOTELS Holiday Spirit: Project Runway-inspired display

The Radisson Blu Warwick in Philadelphia partnered with Project Runway Season 12 winner Dom Streater to create a holiday display in the hotel’s grand lobby. “Franklin’s Fireplace” was designed to mimic the hotel’s design of blending historical and modern elements.

The design includes large and small trees created with used books as well as Streater’s signature prints reminiscent of her clothing designs on the hotel lobby’s couch pillows. The official unveiling took place at the hotel on December 1.

“I was really inspired by the hotel’s lobby and how they were able to create a modern space while still highlighting some of the beloved building’s original features,” said Streater. “Philadelphia is a city of such historical significance, and as a proud native, I wanted to emphasize that in the design.”

“This installation allows us to get the local community and hotel guests into the holiday spirit while supporting the Philadelphia arts scene,” said Jean-Marc Jalbert, general manager of the Radisson Blu Warwick.
