Hilton comes to i-City: I-R&D Sdn Bhd signed a deal with Hilton Worldwide to develop a DoubleTree Hotel in i-City in Malaysia. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2015 with the hotel opening in 2018.
Red Lion signs in Colorado: Red Lion Hotels Corp. signed a franchise agreement for a new location in Colorado. The new location in Fort Collins is expected to convert by the end of 2014.
Pierre Hotel rental: A full floor of the Pierre Hotel has been leased to an undisclosed international tenant for US$500,000 per month. The six bedroom, six and a half bathroom listing has set the record for the most expensive rental in New York City.
Noble acquires 11 hotels: Noble Investment Group has closed on the acquisition of 10 Marriott and one Hilton branded hotels from McKibbon Hotel Group.
Chateau de Birot sold: China’s New Century Tourism Group has provisionally agreed to buy Chateau de Birot in Bordeaux, France. The sale is set to be formally signed off on December 19.
