G6 launches two brands for Latin America

G6 Hospitality, Dallas, on Wednesday launched two new brands for Latin America expansion: Hotel 6 and Estudio 6. It also announced the signing of an area development agreement with Latina Promohoteles, a subsidiary of Mexican developer Promodesa Comercial, to open up to 55 new-construction Hotel 6/Estudio 6 properties by the end of 2020 in major cities across Mexico.

“Our Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 operations were designed to suit the specific needs of travelers in Latin America,” said Jim Amorosia, President and CEO of G6 Hospitality, which franchises the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands. “Combined with the expertise of our partners at Promodesa, we are uniquely positioned to successfully launch a compelling new lodging option to travelers in Mexico.”

Each new property will showcase elements of the “Phoenix” room design featured at Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties in the U.S. and Canada. Some of the unique features of the rooms include wood-effect flooring, platform beds and flat screen TVs, offering areas that are highly functional, space-efficient and with a modern decor that provides extra comfort for budget-conscious travelers. Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 rooms will also offer unique amenities to respond to the needs of the Latin American markets.

In 2014, G6 Hospitality has opened more than 110 hotels throughout the U.S. and Canada, growing its portfolio of hotels to more than 1,200 properties.
