China news: Australia’s Argyle Hotel Group has signed an agreement to manage its 60th hotel in China – the 200-room Argyle Hotel Dali in the Yunnan province.
Crown in Melbourne: Crown Resorts has announced that it plans to build a new apartment and hotel complex on Queensbridge Street, Southbank in Melbourne, opposite the current casino complex. The land is controlled by the Schiavello Group and Crown has agreed to spend US$50 million on a joint development with them.
Reisdence to Scotland: Marriott International and Aberdeen (Scotland) City Council on Friday signed an agreement to deliver a 126-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel on the new Marischal Square development in the centre of Aberdeen. Work on the hotel will begin in January 2015 and is expected to be completed by summer 2017.
