Harmon settlement: On the day the court case was supposed to begin and after 15 months of talks, a settlement between MGM Resorts and Perini Building Co. was announced Tuesday in the construction defect case involving CityCenter’s Harmon Hotel in Las Vegas. While terms of the settlement in the case that involved some US$400 million in damage claims are confidential, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that MGM filed a notice with the SEC saying it would pay US$173 million to resolve the lawsuit, with US$20 million going to CityCenter and US$153 million to Perini. Of that total, US $72 million was in escrow from CityCenter condo sales. The company will pay out US$101 million.

News restaurant at the Trump: The Trump Organization and José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup will open a signature restaurant in Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. The to-be-named José Andrés restaurant will debut when the hotel opens in 2016 after undergoing a $200 million redevelopment of the historic Old Post Office by The Trump Organization.
